Layering Fragrances Like A Pro

A simple three-layer formula for a fragrance that lasts all day.

The people with the most memorable scents are rarely wearing just one fragrance. Instead, they layer complementary scents together—and the technique is much easier than it sounds.

The three-layer formula

  • Base: Apply a scented body oil or body lotion immediately after showering.
  • Core: Spray your signature perfume onto your pulse points.
  • Lift: Finish with a lighter body mist or hair fragrance to add freshness and movement.

The goal isn't to combine completely different fragrance families. Instead, choose scents that share at least one common note—such as vanilla, sandalwood, or citrus—so the layers blend into one harmonious composition rather than competing with one another.

Layering isn't about wearing more perfume. It's about giving your fragrance depth and dimension.
